Tour de Braz 2023 – April 15
With proceeds benefiting the Alvin Fire Department, 2023 will see a record number of cyclists this year. Come join in the fun, either participating or spectating! Open to all experience levels, the ride begins at Alvin Community College and meanders through the beautiful Brazoria County Countryside.
One of the best aspects of this event is that you can register online if you wish. During the event, you can take in the sights and sounds of downtown Alvin while enjoying the company of some of the best cyclists around. Enjoy the beer garden and partake in free local live music and food after the ride.
Frontier Days – April 27-29
Celebrate the 49th annual Alvin Rotary Club Frontier Days kicking off Thursday, April 27th with a carnival at 5 pm. This year, the event is held entirely in National Oak Park.
The fun just goes on from there for the next two days. There will be a “saloon” beer garden open for adults 21 and up to sit, relax, play corn hole and other activities while listening to some great live music. This area will be open from 10 am-6 pm.
Saturday is a full day of events that will feature the popular Frontier Day Parade through the old downtown area of Alvin. Another crowd favorite, the Alvin Rotary Club Gunfighters will perform their popular “Shoot-out” twice on Frontier Day in the park! Enjoy live music, a craft & collectibles expo, a parade, food vendors, mini golf, a beer garden, youth performances, and much more.
Grace Episcopal Church Annual Fish Fry – Saturday, April 22nd
From 4 – 7 pm, Grace Episcopal Church invites you to their Annual Fish Fry. They’ll be serving delicious fried fish, sides, and drinks right on the grounds or you may opt for take-out. There will be music and lawn games so bring your family and friends! Celebrate National Talk-Like-a-Pirate Day by wearing your favorite pirate gear and enjoying some special surprise entertainment!
Flower Power Market Day – April 21st-23rd
Located at The Chameleon. Before the weather gets uber spicy, stop by to shop the local vendors and get your home ready for all the other holidays of the year. Don’t wait till the last minute for gifts, you may even want to start your Christmas shopping here because it’s a one-stop-shop!
